Mode Gyaru: Mode in Gal Stores

Yes I haven’t forgotten my last mode posts, just a little sidetracked/stressed :^_^;;:

Keep the questions coming on Ask Anything #3!! While looking up things for answers I found some shocking things and some fun things, so I think the questions are quite awesome! I promise I’m working on everyone’s question and haven’t forgotten any!

I have also not forgotten about Agejo Week, the first post is ready just need pics, but I’ll get to Agejo Week after Ask Anything and the last of Mode  All in good time :waves:

Also a giveaway and a pay it forward soon!♥

Mode Gyaru is littering the stores

Until now in Mode Weeks I’ve been mainly showing Emoda and Murua, but lots of other stores are showing they’re into Mode Gyaru as well. :sparkle2:

Delyle: A gorgeous bandage skirt and a bodycon dress paired with a short tee

Sly: A chic mini jacket and a gorgeous ethnic mode look going on.

Rienda: A few accessories to pump up Mode Gyaru looks

Lip Service has winning designs using sharp cuts and mode monotone to mix with Agejo sexiness.

Lip Service: The crop top which has been in so many mode looks and a bag that really pops in a Mode look.

Moussy: Ethnic mode and strong mode earrings from the crossover brand.

Not to be outdone Gilfy launched 2 mode sets with attractive prices. Very Mode yet Gilfy looks ♥

Of course Gilfy Guru Emina has to show you how Mode Gyaru is done, Gilfy style. Loves it!

Mode Gyaru at cheap Japanese on-line stores: Yumetenbou and Gal Star

Yumetenbou‘s newest styles seem to be favoring Mode Gyaru more than their recent spate of Liz Lisa copying, woot!

A crossback and bandage skirt made this bodycon Mode

A narrow miniskirt with a bold floral pattern is a Mode trademark lately.

A lace, a balloon shirt with bandage skirt, it all points to Yume-Mode looks

This loose lace skirt can work for rock or mode ♥

Unsure how much dots will be in this fall, but the bold pattern draws the eye up and looks pleasing on most body types ♥

Not to be outdone, discount gal outfit GalStar (which is also on English rakuten) has put together some strong mode looks for cheap!

Talk about a super Mode look! Wow! This outfit is pre-styled and ready to look fabulous on someone♥

Another strong Mode look! With the shirt only around $16.00 it's worth looking at their store for cute items ♥

This is a bit more Murua than Emoda, but the look comes off as more adult than the others to me.

Leopard at Yumetenbou and Gal Star

Since everyone seemed jazzed about leopard print coming back, I thought it might be best to point on some cheap deals to be had at Yumetenbou and GalStar for you leopard ladies :cheery:

From Yumetenbou. I really want these shoes and at $26.00 they're hard not to resist. Still available in sizes S-LL in leopard!

From Galstar. This crop top (a similar style is sold out on the Emoda website) with a leopard inner. I guess we have leopard Mode Gyaru... me likey!

From GalStar. This leopard bandeau inside the loose onepiece is hot hot hot! Perfect for breezy clubbing ♥

Leopard… I love you. I even made my desktop leopard print hehehee :cheery:

Too bad I just threw money at W♥C :x although a Gal Star order is in my new future. I can predict that ♥

As always, throw your opinions at me! Any loves of the brands? Are you Mode-d out or not?

      July 2, 2010 / 12:20 am

LOL I am very very far from perfect, but that’s the fun of gal so is everyone. We’re all perfectly imperfect

Thanks for the lovely words and I hope you keep reading :bear:

  2. June 30, 2010 / 11:51 pm

YES another mode post! im always excited to see new posts.. i constantly need that gal fashion news fix from you mitsu. haha.

ooh i really love that bandage skirt by Deyle. i seen a similar one at forever21 a couple of weeks ago, i wonder if its still there @_@ .. i think the ethnic mode is really growing on me. im lovin the print more & more..and i like the idea of a lace bracelet (?) if that’s what it is. looks like that’s easy to diy. i love all that lip service is putting out and i really love that bag.. haha i keep saying LOVE a lot.

not a bad price for the gilfy mode sets… i think i wanna save up for gal brands now XD seriously… all these posts are making me drool with envy .. cuz i dont have them .. waahh

im glad you possted the cheaper alternatives though.. they’re just as lovely – im really liking that floral mini skirt <3 by both brands

not really a fan of the long lace cardigan though.. it looks "too old" or grandma like..

but i love everything else! go mode gyaru!

      July 2, 2010 / 12:29 am

hahahaha I was doing the same thing. I was like ……. OOOO ME LIKEY ….search… OOOO ME LIKEY!! That Delyle skirt is amazing, it’d be great f21 did something similar. It’s cut is so flattering to the tummy that I might even wear it all shirt tucked in :-D

I was wondering about that lace cardi. I dunno if it’s the cardi or how the stripes are centered on her body, it makes her boobs look a bit saggy :-S Either way that coord needs some changing -_-

I’m unsure, I’ve never looked for accessories. Their site is hideously confusing. 8)

      July 2, 2010 / 2:31 pm

Their site is definitely super confusing! One tip: If you’re looking on rakuten, Yumetenbo has multiple rakuten stores (and they don’t combine shipping between stores). The standard one that comes up on google searches is the “princess” store – the “glamorous” store is more likely to have the belt you’re looking for :)

  3. July 1, 2010 / 12:27 am

that lip service lace top/dress is so nice *o*
and emina looks gorgeous i love her style! it’s so cool and sexy ><

loving your posts ^^ thank you for posting the brands and prices, also with the cheaper alternatives!
i've only been admiring gyaru so far but now i kind of want to get more into it…this style gives me hope since i think it is almost similar to my own. i'm too embarrassed to try but i hope i can pull it off one day

I bought myself knee lenght – so I can wear it to work, but body con ZARA skirt, it’s not straight mode, it’s hmmm half marine, half mode, kind of design? But I am on a diet and loosing weight, so I want to wear more body-con styles! 8DD :cat:

  9. July 1, 2010 / 9:37 am

Forever 21 is bursting at the seams with mode pieces right now for those of you looking for Western alternatives.

Can you comment on the quality of GalStar clothing? As someone whose familiar with Rakuten shops, I’m not expecting much at those prices but you can always be pleasantly surprised every now and then.

    • Mitsu
      July 2, 2010 / 12:41 am

I haven’t purchased from them yet. I’m betting they’re like Yumetenbou which is hit and miss. Oh well for their prices it’s worth a try :-D

      • July 6, 2010 / 11:38 am

I know you’re always slammed with post requests but would you mind doing a Galstar review if/when you order from them?

  10. July 1, 2010 / 9:38 am

    i love your blog doll!!!
you inspire me to be a better gal :D
i’m going to miss the mode posts though :S

    • Mitsu
      July 2, 2010 / 12:42 am

That is such a lovely thing to say, I feel absolutely humbled  LOL Hopefully mode will go into fall and be huge and I’ll be stuck talking about it more and more then

  11. July 1, 2010 / 9:46 am

Aww, I totally love this post! :hearts:
So much inspiration~ I want to go shopping right now! I´ve already seen some Mode gyaru-like clothes in stores here in Germany, for example at H&M or C&A. I guess I´ll have to wait, though- in only a month I´ll be in Japan again! :)

    • Mitsu
      July 2, 2010 / 12:42 am

I agree, so much Western alternatives to this style. Love the ease of this

  12. July 1, 2010 / 9:47 am

Oh yeah, more mode, I am into that! hehe^^ I’m glad its getting big, because I feel mode can suit me a lot better than the liz lisa sweet stuff.

I especially like the items Lip Service is putting out there, it’s mode and sexy! And that lace cuff is really cute and something that could be handmade so easily.

The items from Yumetembo and Galstar are great too. I was thinking of getting that 3 piece set with the lace crop top from Yumetembo, but I love that harem pants look from Galstar. I’m glad leopard print may/will be back for fall again.

Thank you so much for mentioning my giveaway, you are so sweet and kind as usual!

    • Mitsu
      July 2, 2010 / 12:45 am

Happy to do so, you always give away such cute items

I agree so much on everything! You know you’re coming back to Tokyo when I’m there so we can comment on the same things at 109 hehehe :-D

    July 1, 2010 / 10:01 am

Omg those floral サルエルパンツ! :peer: I may have to jump on Gal Star.

Western stores are also showing some mode flavor – Express and H&M especially have some great items that could easily be used for a mode coordinate. Sadly, サルエルパンツ (I hate trying to come up with a romanized spelling xD) don’t seem to have made it to the States, despite being popular in Europe.

I put together a collection of “mode-able” items from Express. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

    • July 1, 2010 / 10:34 am

サルエルパンツ/drop crotch pants came and went a couple of seasons ago here in the States. They didn’t have much traction outside of the blogger/fashionista crowd but I think OakNYC, Zara, and a few other shops/brands are still carrying that style.

        July 1, 2010 / 12:53 pm

Ooh good to know! I totally missed that. Thanks for the info :)

      • Mitsu
        July 2, 2010 / 12:46 am

Yeah with a lot of dudes, too. Right? Wasn’t feeling them styled like that -_-

  14. July 1, 2010 / 11:31 am

Ahhh I want that Gilfy set so bad, it’s lovely :hearts:
I actually want all of the 109 items, I can’t get to Japan soon enough haha

What do you think of leopard print & mode together?
I personally wouldn’t have put the 2 together but it isn’t a bad outcome.

    • Mitsu
      July 2, 2010 / 12:49 am

I know and my spending budget is going to be so much less this time around and you’ll have to cart me out of 109 in a straight jacket before I grab all the merchandise and run for it. :x Oh sweet suffering :-D

  15. July 1, 2010 / 2:21 pm

Hi, i really love your blog!
Do you live in japan? :)

  16. July 1, 2010 / 7:42 pm

First off, thanks SO much for the blog shout out! :loveword: Secondly, this post was really really perefectly timed, because I’m going to be doing some clothes shopping soon, and I’ve been trying to think of some ways to get Mode looks in my wardrobe :) I am dying for those Rienda leggings with the lace patches. :peer:

Also, that Yumetenbo/Galstar stuff looks pretty hot for pretty cheap :o I’ll be checking that out tonight!

  17. July 1, 2010 / 9:19 pm

I never been really into gyaru because I never felt comfortable with any of its substyles… until Mode.
Now I’m trying some looks and I think that it suits me quite well, I’m really happy ^^

And this happened because of your blog… THANKS! ♥

    • Mitsu
