Cecil McBee AW 2010 Shop Staff coordinates

I am in love with Cecil McBee for one reason right now and that is because 17 of its stores have official ameblos (check out the entire list here). Most of them started back in 2009, so I am soooo late to the party. :worry: However, they’re just amazing! So many of them update regularly and show off new pieces. It doesn’t hurt that Cecil is so big that there’s always new pieces. :stars:

However what I really like is seeing blogs from different parts of Japan. It’s not just Osaka and Tokyo reporting (like WC), or even Nagoya (Gilfy). Instead Cecil has blogs in Sapporo, Hiratsuka, Utsunomiya, and Sendai also. :upheart:

Maybe it’s the sociologist in me, but I just love this. It’s a way to see how gal looks in Sendai and these far flung places where I might not visit. :loveword:

Also for those of you who looked at the catalog bits from Cecil and thought HMPH that’s NOT gal, look at the shop staff.

Toot-toot-tooot :music: Presenting the shop staff of Cecil McBee in their fall collection :hands:

This girl is so adorable and I love the black version of the boho look that Liz Lisa is favoring (in brown of course  )

Dot trend, frill blouse and garter stocking trends all in play.

Nordic set with the basket that was a big Spring trend.

Twin coordinate of maxi dresses. The fur stole appears to be trending as well :heart2:

Blouse x vest trend along with silly pose

Here’s a close-up of her above outfit. Cute leopard print on the blouse

Loving the zebra casual blouse. So relaxed but haade :o

Plaid x lace/damage denim seems to be a trend going through a lot of brands.

Simple, cute mode coordinate. Cecil seems to be adding some mode elements to their looks lately.

Two gal styling ideas. One a bunch more casual and rock, another a bit more sweet/spicy. The lace under the plaid of the skirt is a cute detail

A Nordic print 3-piece set cecil is selling. Looks quite cute, a bit One*Spo :upheart:

Same pieces, different girl :heart2:

Really interesting code that seems original for this season. Long coat, fedora, belt is sexy yet weather-conscious

Blouse and red heels, just enough interest to look hot

A twist on sweet-kei Liz Lisa types with leopard print instead.

Loving the long plaid outer. So yankee gyaru :hands: (although those white shoes are tragic)

Ethnic scarf with fringe should be a trending scarf until Winter really hits.

Shop staff showing off their fur bags. So impractical, which is why I kind of like it

I think the closures are a bit too distracting, but hey she looks cute :upheart:

I’m much more of a fan of this poncho

and her adorable posing skills

This MOD-style dress should make the rounds at Onee-kei brands :stars:

Wedge mouton boots I’m not a fan of, but they look excited for them :worries:

Sexy coordinate, I’m sure DIA will do something similar this year as well.

For some reason I just love this. Maybe because it’s so flashy and out there, or it’s very rock-kei :hearts2:

The ethnic mode feel that was starting in Summer will carry into Fall.

The hippie boho look or as Jelly is calling it this season “gypsy”

While I may not be sold on the nordic poncho trend, this is sure cute as a twin coordinate :heartshake:

Another poncho/shawl concept. I love this pic :hearts3:

A bit crazy a bit cute

I hope you enjoyed looking at those, again the link to all the blogs is here at http://www.cecilmcbee.net/data/cm/blog.html

They’re really fun to look at and most of the stores update daily so you’ve got tons of inspiration and visuals each day thanks to one store :butterfly:

I’ve always loved Cecil McBee clothes before I truly began liking gyaru, and it’s stuff like this – a whole wardrobe with a little bit of something for everyone, especially for “average girls” – that prove exactly why I love them. ♥ Thanks for this one Mitsu!

  10. September 12, 2010 / 7:09 am

Mondrian-style dresses as gal? I have to get in one this!! (I’m a huuuuuge fan of Piet Mondrian, and I used to love ’60s MOD-type stuff, so I have a soft spot for Mondrian-style dresses, haha.)

I didn’t like them at first, but the tall boots with the fur legwarmers are really starting to grow on me, and I can’t figure out why. I think I need some, though I have no idea what I’d wear them with!

Am I the only one who doesn’t really like any of this seasons trends? I’m not feeling this collection at all and I wasn’t even convinced by the shop staff cords either. If they can’t wow me then I surely can’t pull it off.

I think the only thing I’m going invest in this season is fur topped overknees and a fur tail accesories hah! OH and more lace and damaged denim (but that isn’t exactly new.. :[ )

Thanks for the links to the blog though, going to keep watching to find something that makes me like this collection!!

Would you happen to know the link to the Sapporo Cecil McBee blog? I always go to Sapporo when I go to Japan (cheaper sales and smaller crowds than Tokyo haha), and I’m interested in reading their blog. :D

  16. September 13, 2010 / 8:47 pm

nice! i really like the idea of the furry leg-warmers… they look cute and you can just throw them over any pair of shoes… and they are a good alternative to the monster fur boots we can see everywhere… most of which look pretty ridiculous anyways….

  17. September 14, 2010 / 9:38 am

    sooo cute!!!
    thanks for sharing!!

    i love the poncho too!

the staffs are so fashionable!! and and.. the leg warmers are just utterly adorable! i want to get one to cover my fat calves! hahahahahah

i totally love this! the shop staff are all adorable.. my favorites would have to be the nordic print styles .. i wish they had some nordic print alternatives in US stores here! i love that beige poncho where the girl is making that cute pose. was never really a fan of ponchos, but her overall coordinate makes me change my mind ! :) the fur boots are so awesome and so daring, i want a pair for myself!

  20. September 15, 2010 / 3:51 pm
