Recent Fall gets & wishlist
Posted September 3rd, 2011 by MitsuI have been talking about Fall style, but not really what I personally love for Fall. So I thought I’d post a list of gets and wishlist. I was inspired by Tori’s pretty wishlist that has such a lovely blend of items. I’m currently trying to dress more adult gal for the season. I also already have a lot of denim and t-shirts so I’m trying not to buy those.
I plan on pairing the dressy button-up shirts or suit jackets and fun t-shirts with damage denim. Also a few retro girly dresses as my two centerpiece styles.
Recent Fall Gets
The W by Murua top! When I saw this I knew I had to have it, I bought it in the OFF WHITE she's wearing. My first W by Murua purchase!
I love silly shirts and this one was my favorite of the Murua ART shirts. I bought it in black to wear under suit sets. It looks like it'll be fun peeking out from behind a somber jacket.
The Dazzlin' Peter Pan necklace I was raving about on twitter. It sold out really fast, but thankfully they restocked it! I love the peter pan collar trend, and like the idea of wearing this instead of many collars.
Laguna Moon onepiece
I got the last one in baby pink. I hope it looks cute with the Dazzlin pearl peter pan necklace.
This floppy felt hat is from Urban Outfitters, it looks pretty identical to ones that are selling by Laguna Moon, Mercury Duo, Snidel, Duras and Egoist and it was available in the popular wine color. At $35.00 with then yen to dollar exchange being so bad, I was really happy to get this.
Loafer pumps in leopard pony hair (it's a treatment of calf leather, not ponies). I love the leopard shoe trend and I found these at shopakira.com for $60.00.
And I got a little Jeffrey Campbell mad over the summer… :worries: You guys probably know that from my twitter. :worry:
Fall Wishlist / Dreamlist
Absolute #1 wish! This studded cape trench in beige by Laguna Moon. It's currently available for preorder, but I really have to save up. Maybe I'm a big Sherlock fan, but it feels so bombshell detective to me.
Snidel angora cardigan in Baby Pink. It looks so heavenly soft and mild Texan winters call for more cardigans than coats. The Snidel hat looks like the one I got at Urban Outfitters!
Sly cape dress. I love the pussybow sweet style with such a shocking color.

The Tiger sweater from Dazzlin' it's so fun.
It looks cute styled with plaid for a super casual look here
Laguna Moon onepiece. I bought a onepiece in black from Laguna Moon for summer and wore it so much. I hope this works as my Winter going out to dinner dress.

It’s kind of fun to dream up a list. My tastes change a bit quickly so maybe I’ll decide on crazier bold colors later :worries:
I know what you mean by this wish list. The dollar sucks right now and I really want the Cocolulu fall collection. When I added up everything I wanted it equal to more than $1,000 dollars. And that is just for Cocolulu. :cry:
Wow, I think my wishlist total is pretty similar. Cocolulu is so difficult because it’s a bit hard to replicate the signature denim and brand shirts overseas. It is such a fun, youthful brand though!

So true! I’ve looked in so many places and no brand is like them. Which is why I keep purchasing from them. There are a few Fall pieces I can duplicate, but they are plain compared to Cocolulu and just makes me want Colu even more.
They don’t have that idk “oomph” Cocolulu has. :cry:
I think its such a compliment to their brand how different they aim to be, yet they make clothes made for comfort. It may not be my style, but I love how they stick to what works for them as a brand and dont get into the trap of trying to hang on so many trends.

LOL I feel like my wardrobe is made of splurge items. So much chaos! I’m trying to be more restrained this year, but I doubt it’ll work hahahaa XD

She has such a great style! I am not so talented at DIY (ie I suck at it), so I decided not to waste so much money on crafting supplies and then do it poorly. Momoko and Murua has a collar necklace as well that might be bold to try to DIY though

I’m still wincing at the yen to dollar conversion… so much stuff i wanna buy but don’t wanna shell out 500 bucks for two things haha
Sherlock is fabulous so it’s easy to have a little rub off! Still unsure if I want it in the Camel or Black. (｡-_-｡)
The yen to dollar conversion is so horrible, it’s really such a strain. I don’t know how foriegners who get help from overseas are able to do it with the dollar and pound being so weak to the yen.
I really love your leopard loafer pumps! I was actually thinking if I should give up the Brad St but you made me want some loafers badly! I’ll get them soon:) I also want flat loafers as well!
Thank you so much, your compliment means a lot! I want the Brad Street but JC seems to be too wide when I have flats. My AD Longs are a bit too wide but just the right length. Seeing Vivi discuss so many cute flat shoes it makes me take a look at flat shoes again!

Yes, they got a lot of press for that. I plan to discuss Laguna soon, maybe next week but they have a really lovely wearable collection.

Argh everything looks so great, logically I already bought so many nice items recently, but I reallllly want one of the flocky tshirt. I’m waiting for another set to come out since I didn’t particularly need the outer of the current set. I need a cape onepiece tho, just need it.

Ohhh, I looove that lace MURUA top you got and the collar necklace looks so cute! I am also craving some japanese brands gets recently, but I’m torn! I have to buy a washing mashine and a bed mattress from IKEA (I want the most expensive one, =_=’ ), but then I want JC shoes, japanese clothes, and also tons of other stuff, but I have to make up my mind… XD
