My HG of Circle Lens, Hana 30 days IcEye Brown

I am sponsored by PinkyParadise for contact lens, but I bought this pair myself. I also reordered 3 more months of them with my own money. Why? Because they’re amazing.

If reading is bothersome just click this link to PinkyParadise which is the only on-line supplier of Hana 30 days and enjoy these amazing contacts. Use code “universaldoll” for a free gift  Because this is going to be a long post. I ramble when I’m happy  :worries:

Hana 30 Days come like regular medical contacts. You just peel and use. No soaking. No silly glass jars. Their water content is 45%. Other circle lens: 35%. More water = more comfort!

I’ve been wearing circle lens for several years and regular contacts for eons yet until I found Hana 30 days IcEye Brown I was sacrificing one thing for another. For example: comfort for enlargement, lack of enlargement for comfort, lack of natural eye for enlargement, if it was a natural eye it wasn’t as enlarged.

I have to say first, Hana 30 days are THE MOST COMFORTABLE LENS I’VE EVER TRIED. That includes circle or regular Acuvue type lens. I have seriously road tested these lens, too. I wore them on a 10 hour flight. I got serious allergies and still wore them. I wore them with and without make-up.

 My eyes did not dry out on the flight. *insert shocked face*
 I did not have to remove my contacts and wear glasses because my allergies were terrible. *insert super shocked face* I usually always have to do this. Even with regular contacts.

Never with any other daily contact lens Acuvue/Freshlook/Circle Lens have I had to think “Oooo yeah I also need to remove my contact lens” because by the end of the night they’re bothering me.

With Hana 30 days IcEye Brown I have to remind myself to take them out at 2 in the morning. I can easily wear them for 12+ hours. No eyedrops. Just wear and forget. On my flight day to Rome I wore these for 15+ hours with a little nap and my eyes were still a-okay.

They have a wonderful gradation that blends well with all colors of eyes. I love eye enlargement, but I don’t want them to look too fake.

Heavier make-up style with the Liz Lisa “Dolly Eye” uppers and Diamond Lash “Baby” lowers. Mega macro in my eye.

I know no make-up with circle lens can just look bad. However I don’t feel awkward with these without make-up. I prefer to go out with make-up, but these are a daily lens so I’m often without make-up. Like when I’m out walking my dog I’d prefer not to look like an alien when I meet others, and with these I don’t feel I am! I think the brown edge instead of a harsh black edge really helps that.

Yeah… being a natural blonde with my clear eyelashes and eyebrows. It’s not cool. But what is cool? Not looking like I’m from Planet WTF when both contacts are in. The enlargement is pretty good even on my stupid heavy lidded eyes.

I believe they have a very similar enlargement to the very popular Princess Mimi eye series, but much more natural.

While the green of the Princess Mimi pops more, Hana 30 days still look lovely.

I’m not giving these a rating system or other silliness. I think you’ve realized that I would tell anyone who loves circle lens or those who haven’t bought a pair yet worry about the comfort to buy them. This is a great introductory circle lens and a review at PinkyParadise who bought them as such agrees!

At $11.90 a pair they are extremely cheap for a month. For those of you with daily vision needs, they are a true daily circle lens. Pricing them out they are cheaper than my other daily Acuvue types, so I’ve stopped ordering boring regular contacts and gone with these.  :upheart:

Again they’re only available via PinkyParadise. I love Pinky Paradise. I’ve ordered all my contacts from them. IcEye Brown were out of stock for a while now they’re back in. :hands:

You can use code “universaldoll” for a free gift, but this was not a sponsored post. I just want to share contacts that have made me happier

I’ve heard great things about these lenses!
It’s great to have a more prescription friendly lense for those out there who wear them daily :hearts:

Thank you so much for this! I think I will get a few pairs for myself… There are some days where I really shouldn’t wear lenses, but I do anyways because I feel my makeup looks so strange without circle lenses – and I think these would be great!

I already have a very natural looking ones from NEO, but they’re a bit expensive (and I usually only wear lens for 1-2 months, so… these you recommend is much cheaper!) and I’ve been looking for alternatives!

That’s exactly how I feel. Maybe if my makeup was softer it’d be okay, but bottom lashes and such suit circle lens so well.

Oh wow! I didn’t know these lenses were so great! :korila: We have the same eye color (basically) so now I know they won’t look odd against my light colored eyes! I do agree that the harsh black ring does make the effect look very cheap, and that’s why I’m trying to go with more natural looking ones to match my own eye color (but looking for enlargement also)/blend in, but these look great! You know…I may actually order a box! I’ve never tried circle lenses before, largely because of the comfort issue :( I normally have to wear acuvue oasys because of dry eyes. But I’ve run out for the year, and buying another box or two without insurance will be brutal. Thank you for the great review!

Yes! They’re so expensive in the end. Acuvue I used to like but for some reason my eyes hate them now (dryness and tearing). I was using Freshlook as my dailies but they have their drawbacks as well. As long as you clean them often the 30 days work out great!

I love my glasses, but I’ve really been wanting to make the transition to circle lens, and having a daily option in that department is awesome and will make it easier. @___@ I think I’ll be get some of these to try out when next it becomes paycheck time! Also, what lens solution do you use for these? From the packaging, I would think that a good multi-purpose soft contact lens solution would do it, but it never hurts to make sure. ^ ^

I just use Optix and try to rub clean them every so often. I should be more diligent with that tbh >_< in the last week of their use they need a good rub clean each use since sediment really is starting to settle on them. But that's with all daily types.

I didn’t know I could get prescription lenses from Pinky..! :hands: I just started using these new RINDA Doll monthly’s, but they feel really dry and itchy sometimes. But they’re the only monthly’s with some kind of accent (color or enlarging) that are carried at a contact lense shop. So disappointed :cloud:
I’m definitely going to try ordering these~

these are great! i wish they came in a grey or blue color, though. i have eyes the same color as yours but i’m not sure the full impact of the brown or black would be a good look for me :-S

    • Mitsu
      October 13, 2011 / 12:20 am

I do wish about the grey, but honestly I feel the two easiest colors for circle lens manufacturers to screw up are grey and blue. Since light blues don’t show up as nicely on Asian eyes they usually make this turquoise type color that looks much more fake than brown can. Grey they usually go too light and I never found a grey circle lens I really like (´・_・`)

  13. October 13, 2011 / 12:55 am

really? cheaper than regular acuvue? i’m completely blind and have been wearing just clear ones for years… i get cranky that when i buy circle lenses, they’re sooooo expensive because i’ve gotta get them with prescription…. so this doesn’t sound like a bad deal!!

I was using Freshlook color blends which thru 1800contacts was 85.93 for a 3 month supply. 36.00 for 3 months is over 50% savings. I could even go down to 3 wks only and still be saving around 40-50%. My brand may have been more expensive, but I think most brands are more than 36.00 for 3 months.

  14. October 13, 2011 / 3:42 am

I like how the hana 30 days look! though, forgive me if I’m wrong, since they’re brown shouldn’t they make your whole eye brown instead of just making the outer eyes that they’re going over look brown?? I kinda like the princess mimi better because of the fact that it looks as though it blends better with your eyes tbh @__@”

this has been my issue with ordering from pinky paradise, a lot of the models look as though their eye color is changed completely, while some of the real life pictures look as though it ends up just affecting the outer eye and not the whole eye color like it’s modeled to be. so then i get scared about ordering from them cuz IDK how it’ll turn out on my brown eyes. at least yours are blue and will blend easier with other colors! :hearts: haha

    • Mitsu
      October 13, 2011 / 7:51 am

Most circle lens only do the edges. It’s better for when your eyes actually move and little shifts can make full color contacts look bad, yet rim contacts will settle and move more naturally. I like the Mimi for the blending, but honestly the Mimi looks too strong IRL. The color may pop in a small picture, but the green is really too much in person for me. Also in terms of comfort there is no comparison.

I think the models for the contacts are always over photoshopped in the eyes and such. I remember the Princess Mimi series coming out and Tsubasa with these super bright 3-d color type eyes. Yet in real life Princess Mimi is not like that at all :^_^;;:

      • October 13, 2011 / 10:32 am

oh okay I see; I didn’t know about that!! :O

I thought most contacts were supposed to blend with your natural eye color and change it all this time! I was kinda hoping they blend tbh. it looks a bit unnatural if its your natural color and then the contact color. idk…maybe it’s just me lol though i don’t like it when it looks overdone irl either :x

          October 13, 2011 / 3:04 pm

Some do but circle lens are made for an Asian market. Us blue/green/grey/violet eyes gotta work with what they have. :worries:

          • October 13, 2011 / 7:53 pm

so it’s basically if you’re looking for it to replace your own natural color you’re kinda outta luck?
lol at least your eyes blend easier with whatever colors they have :P

oh wow! That’s great though, to be approached by them about it! :)

Oh my goodness I need these ; o ; I’m near sighted and I’ve been wearing my Princess Mimi Sesame Greys on every weekday OTL I do think I’m a bit addicted to circle lenses but I need to stop because I think my eyes are getting dryer D: Maybe if I switched to these, it would help :?:

hehehe I know the feeling! I do think they are much more comfortable than Princess Mimi. I did 6-8 hours in Princess Mimi and my eyes was not so comfortable the next day. Switching up at least helps! On the not so comfortable day I wore these :-D But the color payoff isn’t as rich at the Princess Mimi series.

      October 15, 2011 / 5:28 pm

I have. I’m always shocked how much people love them. I think they’re okay and I like the bottle color but I wasn’t super impressed. Honestly, I just don’t like using eye drops with make-up. I think it can get really messy if one drop escapes so I try instead to find contacts that make them unnecessary.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

By the way, what is the free gift? Using the code, it took off 1 cent off my order but it didn’t say “+Universal Doll Gift!” or anything like that at the end. I hope they’re not going to give me one penny, hahaha!! (Although that would be hilarious)

      October 18, 2011 / 9:16 am

Good luck! I worry the grey and pink aren’t as enlarging. But they are a good starter pair. My only complaint with Hana is even though they list the same measurements the enlargement differs with contact to contact >_<

  20. October 18, 2011 / 3:48 pm

I’ve discovered these just recently (because I was looking for black lenses) and have been wondering what they are like worn. So thanks for the review! The brown blends nicely with your green eyes  I’m surprised to hear they are so comfortable that I can hardly believe it.
I wonder if it’s even possible to wear them a few weeks longer if they are so nice?

      October 18, 2011 / 4:18 pm

      Thank you!

I dont think wearing them longer is a viable option. I think the calcification your eyes do. Maybe not calcium but eye grit starts degrading the lens. They were much easier to wear 3 wks than 4 wks.

  21. November 7, 2011 / 8:58 am

Wow, I’d never thought of buying brown lens because I had blue-green eyes! But I see they look really good as they still show your own colour in the middle, with a brown riong. Hmm…

I really want a disposable pair of circle lenses (for comfort). but i am more concerned with the health issues. I trust the GEO circle lenses because they are authentic and they pigmentation will not leak. Have you worn them for a long time now? (e.g. a couple years?) no eye problems? No pigment leakage? im just concerned because i know a couple people who have screwed up their eyes because of cheap circle lenses.

I can understand seeing as you know others with negative experiences. The Hana 30 days are relatively new so I doubt there will be anyone who can give you one year on info. However, seeing as Pinky Paradise has not restocked them it’s now very hard to get them. I cannot find another supplier so I’ll have to find another lens.

  23. June 20, 2012 / 2:44 pm

Wow! Those look really nice! I want to get a pair myself; they are very cheap compared to my premium edition circle lens in Japan…
I have a question, though. When you had the lenses in, were you able to see really clearly? My prescription is -4.50/-4.50, but whenever I order that prescription and wear the lenses, it’s always -0.25 less power. ): It’s been happening with me since the lenses were made in 2011 and 2012.
    Thanks!
