It seems some of the Doll readers also love brand. I am more happy to share my fun experience with my friend Alice then! After we had lunch at the Gucci cafe we went to Chanel’s restaurant.
Chanel Restaurant – Beige
Beige is the name of the restaurant that sits upon the top floor and rooftop of Chanel’s Ginza store (website). Because the weather was still moderately pleasant they only had the rooftop open, which is great since the design of the indoors didn’t seem as nice. However Alice and I would have been straightjacket looneybin mad to actually EAT at Beige. Beige for dinner STARTS at 13000 yen a person (around $160.00). Lunch is slightly more acceptable, starting at 5000 yen a person (around $75.00).
Can we have a moment? JESUS CHRIST!! :icon_eek: :icon_eek: TOO EXPENSIVE!
I’ve eaten at some wonderful renowned restaurants: Mario Batali’s B&B and Buchon and the like. However dinner at Mario Batali’s B&B for a main course and salad is $60.00. Alice and I had serious doubts any food would be orgasmic enough to spend $75.00 STARTING on…FOR LUNCH. However they do serve desserts so one day we might go for only that. *shakes my pennies together*
But my friend Alice did get macaroons, so we did go up to the rooftop to purchase and enjoy the atmosphere.
I want to go back just for the Coco wall If you ask, I do believe you can go up to the rooftop without buying anything to look. Although you have to ask the attendant in the office to the side of the Chanel store (not the in main store) and she will unlock the elevator for you.
Another blogger posted some pictures of her meal and the inside of Beige, the meal looks amazing, the inside not as amazing… :worries:
Sadly Hermès restaurant was undergoing renovations and they only had their cafe open which was squirreled away in a corner near the tableware. It did seem like a quiet place to sit during shopping, but it was dark and nothing to really photograph.
Alice ordered a cake, but it seemed a bit unremarkable. I ordered an espresso and was pleasantly surprised.
That was my tour of brand restaurants in Tokyo. There’s still a Swarovski one I’d like to visit, and hopefully Hermès will open their restaurant for lunch. I definitely want to go back to Gucci’s! All together I spent around 3300 yen (around $44.00) for lunch and coffee. Which is not so bad for some great memories and delicious brand items. :upheart: Alice and I felt so posh that day
