Wah Nails in London funky eye nail set

I was in London a few weeks ago which made me want to try out a London salon for nails. I found Wah Nails and definitely loved their work.

Wah Nails is a popular nail salon in London focusing on paint style and creating their own nail design style. I wanted to try Wah Nails because I really liked their designs they posted on their tumblr and going in person I wasn’t dissapointed.

Wah Nails in the Oxford topshop. To the left is Bleach, a famous hair dying salon.

A close-up of the several people working in the Oxford Station one. Although they're doing remodeling.

I went to the Oxford Street salon (which Emma graciously booked), but it turns out they’re remodeling and are only doing regular paints. But, the salon was extremely nice and made an appointment at the Stratford salon and I could walk right then and get the gels I wanted.

At every Wah Nails they have a nail wall of designs. You can pick and choose your designs and all around 35 pounds sterling for a full set. They also run specials where you can book Monday-Thursday in advance and it's 30% off. You can also pick designs off board, but they do cost a bit more. They also can do some 3-d work.

My nailist on the right, working on her friend who came after me on the left and their awesome nail wall.

My nailist was extremely nice. It turns out she loves Dolly Parton, tattoos, rodeos and cowboys which my close friend in America who is from the UK also loves, so I introduced them through instagram.  :yayblush:

Her in progress Dolly Parton nail wheel. Which shows their style. They actually use nail pens instead of brushes, they're like fine tipped paint pens filled with nail polish.

Her finished product on me. 4 of the designs are off board, but the green eye on nude is her own design.

A few days later, several storeys up on the London Eye. Ring by Murua.

The right hand, which is a bit switched up but same designs with Big Ben below. Titly angle makes my hand look chubby, but oh well, it's the view and the nails that's the interest, not my weird hands.

Because I made the appointment earlier my nails were %30 off and came to £34.00 (around $53.00) for a brand new set of nails including gel. My nailist was lovely and also recommended me food places and gave me free tickets to the London Eye. Since the tickets for me & my man to go on the London Eye were £34.00, my nail salon visit was essentially free.  :o

Another positive aspect is both the Topshop in Oxford Street and the Top Shop in Stratford have free wifi. The Topshop Stratford even had iPads available for use. So if someone is tagging along, like my man, he at least got to use his iPhone and browse the web whilst waiting.

Badass nails for free? Wah Nails is awesome  :cat:

But Im so glad you got to go!! They are such a great salon
I love the crazy triangle design too
and the price is really reasonable, especially since there isnt many salons in the UK like this
Most are small shops owned by Chinese people hehe

Me, too! I really like how their art isn’t Japanese style either. I’d like to see more country styles or brand styles with nails :)
hahaha yeah it felt weird to meet not one but two UK ladies who love Dolly!

Those are fab! And, man, I was literally just in London (as in, got home last night) and it never even occurred to me to do anything like this. I guess I was too busy being starry-eyed in the museums and eating chips soaked in vinegar.
