Gyaru Shoe Trends for Spring 2013

Shoes! Just saying that word should ignite some joy in your heart. I’m so in love with these gyaru shoe trends coming out for Spring. It took me a while to compile them but oh the chic joy in all of these!

There’s a lot of pastel later on in this post, but I think neon will pop-up slowly during Spring especially as a smart accent color on shoes. Bicolor started to get popular in the Fall on shoes, and it may not last past the Spring but I love the monotone of Emoda and the shock of Leopard Randa pair and those should last with a pairing wardrobe.

Why is this just a trend and not just how shoes are made? Gold Accents are fabulous! They highlight every shoe from sweet to chic to sexy. Those baby pink pair by Rosessence? Urgh I may have to break my no heels rule and my ankles to strut in those.

I’m BLUE dabudedabuda :rockoutguy: Blue is a big color for spring and expect your favorite brand to do a lot of denim flat blues for Spring. Chanel did while sole creepers for their Cruise collection of 2013 and they’ll be super popular as Spring progresses. Also look for the smaller hole pin-up peep toe to be popular.

So Mode it hurts the straight front pump trend is quite popular. Most flat shoes are pointy for Spring (want longer legs? Go for pointy shoes #protip). The clear accent trend seems to twin with straight front. Also check out the popular new orange color for Spring on the above shoes and below.

Clear heels, clear parts of shoes, clear parts in clothing, cut-outs. I talked about it all in the Spring Trendcasting earlier. Who’s got your fantastically clad back? Mitsu does!  :lovecat:

The Randa shoe above is like a meta-trend of all shoe trends. It’s got: criss cross, bicolor, floral, clear heel. All it needs are some gold accents and it’s the ultimate Spring meme of shoe.  :lolpastel:

Bestill my girly heart. I’m in heaven with the gorgeous sweet twist to the Marc Jacobs Daisy and Prada Fall 2012 floral shoe trend. Those pointed flats need to be my friend. Trendcasting this a month ago as well.

Other trends to note:

 Full metallic shoes in silver and gold

 Loafers

 Espadrille accents

 The continuance of flatforms (yay)

 Criss Cross sandals

Just put them all on my feet.  :catno: Pose, turn, flaunt and strut dat azz.

Your blogger is going to go slow for a while or may just do a lot of picture posts soon. :heartbreak: I’m sorry but my man bought me a Kindle Paperwhite and I really miss the joy of books as I’ve pushed them over for blogging/tumblr/tv/sports and I’m ready to get back into them.   :lovecat:

i am in love with all the shoe trends for spring this year, EXCEPT for those god-awful transparent accents!!!! the ones you showed are acctually not too bad but i saw a few while flipping through NUTS of shoes that had the whole front completely clear. not only do i find that terribly ugly, i think it also looks cheap.

but i think i need to go make a little trip to Randa soon because i NEED those blue shoes with the white platform in my life NOW!!! XD

I always worry about blisters. I mean you know as well as I do the horrible humidity in the summer in Japan mixed with clear shoes. Blister city ):

I have the feeling that the big soles, used in creppers too will be hyped. Creepers itself. In Brazil, we saw some “fake heels” and more colors for our winter.

BLUE *-* ! finally, lol xD I love this color! and those from Flag-J are just sooooooo cool *-* <3333

Hey Mitsu…I wanted let you know that you nail the trends for fall and spring right on the head. With your wisdom I have bought clothes items (and altered) to be ready for the seasons. Now I’m known as a “trend setter” by my friends. Because I have your insight. Thank you for your hard work. I enjoy your blog so much and look forward to the new entries.

I seriously looked behind my back to see if you were talking to someone else. I don’t deserve such a wonderful comment, but reading makes me so happy!

  9. Jenny Paisley says:

I could email you an ass load of books for your new kindle reader or give you my dropbox password?

    • Mitsu says:

Oh thanks for such a kind offer although I kind of read mostly things I don’t know are ripped. Currently I’m on a book about poisoning in the 1920s and then I want to read a book on Putin (Russian lover) and Psychopaths. I don’t really read a lot of fiction.

i just bought some pastel flatforms from lagrace mart in 109, they are amazing! thanks to your guide i will be on the lookout for more cute and trending spring shoes especially the gold accent shoes, oh they are so cute! xx

    • Mitsu says:

Gold accents are giving me life right now. Love how classy they make a shoe yet could not look trendy say next season.

  11. Shmuberry says:

LOVING those shoe trends! :D I think platforms are not going to go away for a loooonnnng time ( kinda like how skinny jeans are the stardard now! ) that that makes my feet so happy hehe

Really love some of these trends, & saw some when I was there late Oct. I did like the baroque styles there then – are they still around? Like, black with ornate gold stitching on them, or tapestry fabric. I think the 3d flowers are my fave from above :)

    • Mitsu says:

They aren’t sad I know! I had hoped they would stick around especially since Chanel Cruise was a ton of wonderful baroque accessories and they paid enough enough to rip the white soles but I don’t see as much ornateness ):

  13. ani says:

you’re an awesome writer. it’s very entertaining to read your posts :)

    • Mitsu says:

Oh thank you so much!! I’m very not worthy of such a kind compliment! Thank you for taking the time to write that and brightening up my day.

  15. Jocelyn says:

Hi Mitsu! I was wondering where I can get the 3-D floral shoes besides a Japanese company? Thank you!! <3

    • Mitsu says:

I haven’t seen them anywhere, but I’m actually usually the worst person to ask about such things tbh. I’m always looking at Japanese brands and such. Rarely Western.
