Shells: Cute selection of Kawaii character goods in Ueno aBaB mall
Posted January 3rd, 2013 by MitsuYou know all that cute stuff you didn’t know you need but when you see it you have to have it? Shells is the epitome of that. It’s like walking into a kawaii tumblr. I left thinking why is my trashcan so boring and my cellphone charger is lacking kawaii. Do I need an Rilakkuma iphone stand, a My Melody shaped coffee mug, a Nameko bento set, a OnePiece bag, or a Spongebob cubby? Nope, but damn I love looking at all of it!
Shells is located on the 3rd floor of Tokyo Ueno aBaB gyaru mall (previous hair accessory post from aBaB) and junior high and high school girls as well as adults were all buying cute things.I saved my yen but hey pictures count as a souvenir right? ( #travelprotip)
I do kind of regret not buying a korilakkuma trashcan and a Hello Kitty shaped mug. Cuteness explosion at Shells! My life is clearly lacking in kawaii.
I probably would buy everything!
How are the prizes? Is it expensive? :3
The prices are pretty ok! I mean you’ll pay more than a normal trashcan for the rilakkuma one but not too much more maybe 100-300yen more.
I would die of kawaii heart attack and my money would vanish ins a second inside this store! *O* I’d love to go there! *O*
I want the hello kitty stuff! waaah! the cellphone cases look so adorable too! it’s too bad iphone beats s3 when it comes to the cases

Stores like that are really overwhelming for me though, there is just way to much to choose from! :D But it is so worth it having random cute notebooks, pens, small things around your house, makes it more cozy and “mine”. ^^*

Oooooh this makes me so excited for my trip to Japan!! The type of character goodies is so different compared to Korea (much more toned down/simple designs~)!! =D

So kawaii! I see these type of stores all the time in San Francisco, where I live! They’re usually cheap (for me at least) and a good way to spruce up one’s place (said stores usually carry home goods as well)
I haven’t been to SF in years, so lucky to have such options available to you there
