Japanese Gyaru Eyelashes Comparison for 2013-2014

Japanese gyaru eyelashes, the center of gal make-up (besides contouring and circle lens). This goes with a previous posts (japanese gal eyelash comparison (2010), japanese gal eyelash comparison 2 (2012) but I thought I’d do a new one since I reported on the new eyelash trends.

Personal faves. Of course favorites of eyelashes vary on eyesize, shape and style preference. My favorite of the bunch is the Diamond – Muse Eye super easy to layer if I feel like a more dramatic look or nice as a wonderful cat eye style with great flick.

The Eyemazing Amo collab and Diamond French Eyelash take second and third place for me for ease to get and use. Murua’s Glamorous Eye is harder to find but currently on sale at Runway Channel for 585 yen, so cheap!.

Most disappointing – Decorative Lash Playgirl Play Pure #5

japanese-eyelash-review-best-and-worst

Best and Worst. So disappointed for the Play Pure #5. I want natural not disappearing. :heartbreak:  Again results differ, I have very hooded eyes so my eyes benefit from cat-eye style or super curled style.

and how they look from different angles… :sage:

Curl which is very high on my reasons to buy eyelashes have gotten a lot popular. I think curl trumps length often but the best Japanese Gyaru eyelashes have both.

Oops Forgot one! Eri Aoki produced Sweet Charm

As you can see I bought a lot of Muse lashes.  :cheery:

How to buy gyaru eyelashes? Diamond Beauty website (http://shop.diamond-beauty.jp/) ships international but shipping is a bit pricey 3,000 yen. If you order in bulk though it’s a good idea. Sasa.com has free shipping and while their selection is not extreme they do have a good mix.

Lol, I think the Decorative Lash might look good on me (I have small eyes so big lashes like Diamond lash are too overpowering -_-) I like the Amo lashes, might get those!

That’s so awesome to hear! I love how there’s so much more variety now that people can pick their favorite and have so much more choice :)

Thank you so much for sharing your favorites! Honestly Diamond Lash Beauty Eye has always been a favorite of mine, however Cats Eye will always be my #1! When I want a more dramatic style I tend to shift towards Jewerich lashes but I do need to stock up on more updated styles! I also have semi-hooded eyes so I opt for longer lashes that are fuller at the base ^_^

Cats Eye is really cool! I used it a lot and then of course had to change because LOL I’m crap at using something for longer than 2 months :)

Love these posts :D. The muse and the eyemazing amo collaboration ones look awesome :D . I wanted to try some of the collaboration ones but none of the colours appealed to me :(.
I’m really liking diamond lashes at the moment :D

It’s so hard to get away from Diamond lashes, their prices are too good and now they just have so much selection! :)

Perfect timing – I was just thinking about how much I need to step up my lash game! I’ve been mostly reaching for Diamond Lash Fairy Eye these past few months and while they’re great, I’m starting to get a little bored, haha.

One of my besties swears by Fairy Lash and they look amazing on her, they look horrible on me (the hooded effect). I really think they were one of the starters of a more natural yet still false look :)

    hey~ ^_^

is it just me or are brands like not even doing bottom lashes at all anymore? i went hunting for some the other day and they didn’t have ANY (granted, i only looked in one shop) but still, they had like at least 30 different uppers so… figured they would have some lower ones too, no? i don’t often use bottom lashes myself, but sometimes if i go out and wanna go for a really strong look, it’s nice!

i might have to try those Muse ones when i get money again! (so poor now T_T)

Agreed! I wish more did a few more choices. I have the worst luck finding bottom lashes that suit me that I have mostly given up and just live in the shadow world. I dunno maybe it’s the tear bag craze and they don’t want anything getting in the way of the bag? :)

I really like the Diamond Lash “Wing Eye” as it suits my eye shape. I think a lot of Happie Nuts models use them (or used to). I can also wear them with glasses! I thought about getting the Muse Eye but in the box it looked kind of fake and I wasn’t planning on stacking them… :( I’m liking the design of Beauty Eye. I’ve always wanted to try that style, but they seem too long and I’m too chicken to wear contacts… ;-(

Interesting! I like Muse eye because the lashes go a bit more naturally or like how extensions get with left and right and such. Glasses and lashes are such a pickle. When I was really into lashes and wore glasses a lot I picked frames that were so huge I never had to care LOL god I was such a silly gyaru at the time :)

Diamond – Beauty Eye look the best for me (as I look on your photos). But I never tried them. Maybe in the future!
