Rady Shop Staff Snap in Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka Mall

I went to buy a towel at Rady in the Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka mall and was greeted by their lovely shop staff. When I asked to take a picture of her, she offered to get the whole staff together for shots showing off her kindness once again!

What’s Rady?

brand website: http://rady.in/

Shizuka Mutoh (武藤静香 むとうしずか) (blog) produced roomwear brand Rady (http://rady.in/pc/index.php?rady=) opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in Shinjuku Lumine EST in September of 2011. It now has four stores around Osaka and Tokyo. The brand was created in 2008 and the clothing sold mainly through its mobile site. The brand has since grown and 2011 March did around 100,000,000 yen in a month (around $1.2 million).

Rady’s concept is “A woman who likes to feel feminine and cute no matter where she is”. In 2011 the brand launched “Houseline by Rady” which is home decorative line, and “Dateline by Rady”. [source]

Rady Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka Shop Staff Snaps

Now for the whole Rady gang of Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka. Even their male shop staff. Male shop staff in gyaru stores started around 2009 and they mostly work cash register and in the back. They are often required to dress in the style of the brand, but with such a girly onee brand that’s a bit hard, so he definitely did his own thing.

The contrast between the polished modern-agejo girls of Rady and their male shop staff is quite amusing. Although I don’t doubt it takes a long time of rigorous perms and diligent tanning to get the look down.

Yet again they’re all showing off their individual personalities. Rady girls are so pretty!

All three Shinsaibashi Osaka OPA shop staff look so lovely! I think they represent the modern agejo style. Sexy, stylish, onee yet still agejo.

Rady Shop Staff Nails

Each stylish Rady woman had wonderful nails.

Gel style girly style that really reflected sakura season.

The fade and glitter acrylic combination looks so pretty! I find these especially inspiring. Those glitter nails set off her ring so nicely.

And wonderful pink acrylic nails for sakura season.

Rady Shop Staff Make-up and Hair

Stylish waves and adult pink make-up.

Also Charlotte of AgejoPerfect diligently translated Rady founder Shizuka Mutoh’s interview in Ageha recently, check out part one and part two

I’ll be doing more recent shop staff posts from my visit and then catch up with the previous. Especially when they’re as cool as these ladies and guy from Rady Shinsaibashi OPA in Osaka.

Wow I love the post so much <3 I've been getting a lot pf inspiration from Rady and their shopstaff this season!
The first time I went to a Rady store, I went to this actual same store! Shinsaibashi Opa~ And I was sooo impressed with the staff~~ at the time, one of the girls' hair was a lighter blonde, and with the stylish pink lip detail she was better than Barbie! It made me really shy hehehe. I regret to this day that I never bought anything there, even a towel, like you got, or a little Hello Kitty would have been nice, but I guess it's another reason to go back to Japan again ;)

Thank you so much for linking to the interviews, I'm happy if more people get to read them, and I'm always happy with a little exposure :3 hihihi

They are so inspirational! I love their put together style! How cool! I guess closest to Kyoto? The staff make me shy as well but they were so nice I forgot. I love their Hello Kitty collab! I hope they continue it past the 35yr anniversary bit :)
Happy to link! It’s so sad Ageha will not carry such interviews, they were a wonderful read beyond the eyelash-contact combinations :)

Ooh Rady is one of my favorite shops you’ve featured! :yayyay: Their style looks so comfy, cute, and are more of what I can wear as a receptionist in an office. I love the closeups of their nails you took, I might have to try the fade/glitter design

But the staff are sooo unbelievably pretty! The male staff does make me wonder though, is there a male counterpart to gyaru/agejo? When I try to doing searches on it, the results are kind of confusing, or all girls.

I love the nail pics! I’ll definitely want to try and hit one of the store locations when I go on my trip!

Ah, their staff looks adorable… I am just wondering how I could miss their store in Shinjuku Lumine when I was constantly there? Probably I was writing most stores there off as the ‘cute’ Liz Lisa-ish brands there too quickly. Well, thanks for this wonderful post, I am not definitely checking it out next time. Want to buy all their home line stuff for my room haha!
Besides, some of their clothes actually quite remind me of the former Lip Service style! Shizuka Mutou is just so stylish and her taste is suitable for adults and yet great and a bit girly, I am glad she created something like this!
