Mode Gyaru is littering the stores

Until now in Mode Weeks I’ve been mainly showing Emoda and Murua, but lots of other stores are showing they’re into Mode Gyaru as well. :sparkle2:

Delyle: A gorgeous bandage skirt and a bodycon dress paired with a short tee

Sly: A chic mini jacket and a gorgeous ethnic mode look going on.

Delyle came out earlier this Spring with the same cosmetic prints and skirts, and they were looking depressing for the season. It was obvious they weren’t leading the trends so when they started massive sales during Golden Week I wasn’t too surprised. :depressed: They have however turned the corner and are making adorable collections that suit trends, but stay true to their look.

Now I have to say this is BY FAR their cutest collection. DELYLE PETIT for KIDS :hearts3:

How cute is their little kid model! DAWWW adorable!!

I really like how Delyle kept with clothes they’re currently selling, but made them kid friendly. I know Gyaru Gaki pointed out these Mars-esque clothes for children like gal mamas were training their kids to be hos, but this is just so cute. I know when I was a kid I would’ve been really happy to wear these girly clothes.

Their little kid bag gets me. So cute!

But they’re also improved their adult line as well

Delyle Collaborations

First they’re doing an Audrey Hepburn collab

Breakfast at Tiffany’s and My Fair Lady!! EEeee my two favorite Audrey movies :cheery:

This is just such a perfect collaboration for them and keeps their PARIS CHIC theme alive!

They also decided on a Delyle x Minnie Mouse collaboration.

While I love the Audrey collection more, I like how they only chose Minnie to keep their collab more girly and suited to their brand.

Their tshirts are priced quite well at 3150 yen (around $34.00). :sparkle2:

Delyle and Trends

Delyle decides to follow the Marine Trend which is emerging the second side of Spring, and they’re doing it in a classy way. I really love the 3rd look. I think I might buy that short jacket and skirt.

They’re also choosing to do the denim trend with girly touches. I love the black lining on the skirt, which is a Delyle touch

Too much cute items, and they’re all still available on their website. They’ve also started using TENSO which is a shipping  service. Their rates seem to be really good, and you order on your own. Apparently they give you a Japanese shipping address and you get to buy without having to tell anyone. :-D

I think I’ll try them for my Delyle order, their items are too cute to pass up

Do you love Delyle’s new pieces, or are you needing more floral or tiedye? :sparkle2:

Character x gal brands are huge!! It used to not be that way until a sassy kitten named Hello Kitty decided to cuddle up with JSG and Delyle. Then poof Mickey, Betty Boop, Marvel characters, Snoopy, Usavich’s Rabbits and it’s blown up!

W*C decided to make its own mascot and you know how well that is doing (in case you don’t, it’s HUUUUUUGE!). :sparkle2: I am wondering if other brands will try to make their own in the future.

So far the brands involved with character goods are: w*c, ReDark, Vence, Spiral Girl, Lip Service, Glad News, JSG, Delyle, Ruvap, Moussy, LDS, LB-03, Love Boat, Liz Lisa Doll and Miia. :star2:

Let’s take a look at the character pieces happening for Spring!

JSG x Hello Kitty

Spring’s newest JSG parkas done as a collaboration of JSG, Popteen and Hello Kitty. Very hade.

Since I don’t talk about JSG a lot, I thought I’d discuss JSG while it’s a topic.

:star2:  JSG history and current state:

JSG stands for Japanese Super Girl, it started out in 2006 as being produced and designed by Kaoru Watanabe of late Egg magazine fame. Whether she still has creative control is unclear, but JSG continues to have a strong following with teenagers. It’s under the Credge brand which controls Lip Service, Valentine’s High, Minirdees, and men’s brand LaGust. JSG is going strong with 2 new branch openings this Spring in Shinsaibashi OPA (Osaka) and Kawaramachi OPA (Kyoto).

If you’re missing Kaoru, she’s recently begun to blog again about new mama-hood on her ameblog she continues to stay in the top 250 bloggers in the rankings despite being out of magazines. :sparkle2: Go Kaoru, go!

A little departure from mostly gal items to do a bit of a trip blog. I hope to include fashion updates as well, although my internet time is a bit limited ATM. Hopefully you’ll indulge me in a bit of travel related posts for this week and then will get back to full force gal-dom next week. :o

Such a chilly day. Glad News coat and Lip Service scarf. The Louvre is on the left behind me.

First day in Paris and I’m a happy bee. It’s actually the first country I’ve visited where I don’t know the language. I lived a summer in Mexico; spent a few months in Vancouver, Canada; and of course a few years in Japan. But I knew Japanese and spotty Spanish (which I have quicky forgotten). But, being in a country where I have 0 familarity with the language is a bit jolting, but fun.

It’s also nice to be in a country to where I blend in (before I open my mouth :-D   ). Spending most of my year getting stared at is not really fun. I know some people enjoy getting looked at, but I’m much too shy. I enjoy expressing myself through fashion and realize I will get stared at, also being white in an Asian country doesn’t hurt either, but it’s nice to have it a bit less.

First day was spent mostly in the Louvre and it surpassed my expectations. I was once an art student who hated computer graphics and wanted to be an Art History major, but I absolutely love going to museums. Too bad I am not a good artist. If any of my readers are, I really envy you.

There was a Japanese tour group (well two actually) and one of them had a gal in them. Hisashiburi gal-tachi

In front of the the Louvre with a bit of snow.
