I went to buy a towel at Rady in the Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka mall and was greeted by their lovely shop staff. When I asked to take a picture of her, she offered to get the whole staff together for shots showing off her kindness once again!

What’s Rady?

brand website: http://rady.in/

Shizuka Mutoh (武藤静香 むとうしずか) (blog) produced roomwear brand Rady (http://rady.in/pc/index.php?rady=) opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in Shinjuku Lumine EST in September of 2011. It now has four stores around Osaka and Tokyo. The brand was created in 2008 and the clothing sold mainly through its mobile site. The brand has since grown and 2011 March did around 100,000,000 yen in a month (around $1.2 million).

Rady’s concept is “A woman who likes to feel feminine and cute no matter where she is”. In 2011 the brand launched “Houseline by Rady” which is home decorative line, and “Dateline by Rady”. [source]

Rady Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka Shop Staff Snaps

Now for the whole Rady gang of Shinsaibashi OPA Osaka. Even their male shop staff. Male shop staff in gyaru stores started around 2009 and they mostly work cash register and in the back. They are often required to dress in the style of the brand, but with such a girly onee brand that’s a bit hard, so he definitely did his own thing.

The contrast between the polished modern-agejo girls of Rady and their male shop staff is quite amusing. Although I don’t doubt it takes a long time of rigorous perms and diligent tanning to get the look down.

Yet again they’re all showing off their individual personalities. Rady girls are so pretty!

All three Shinsaibashi Osaka OPA shop staff look so lovely! I think they represent the modern agejo style. Sexy, stylish, onee yet still agejo.

Rady Shop Staff Nails

Each stylish Rady woman had wonderful nails.

Gel style girly style that really reflected sakura season.

The fade and glitter acrylic combination looks so pretty! I find these especially inspiring. Those glitter nails set off her ring so nicely.

And wonderful pink acrylic nails for sakura season.

Rady Shop Staff Make-up and Hair

Stylish waves and adult pink make-up.

Also Charlotte of AgejoPerfect diligently translated Rady founder Shizuka Mutoh’s interview in Ageha recently, check out part one and part two

I’ll be doing more recent shop staff posts from my visit and then catch up with the previous. Especially when they’re as cool as these ladies and guy from Rady Shinsaibashi OPA in Osaka.

Some of the most extreme Swarovski deco photos I’ve taken in Japan and I’ve taken a lot. Although crystal deco has faded a bit, there’s still a lot of amazing shops in Japan doing stellar work. Also, don’t miss out the stunning fully blinged out crytsal Mercedes.

Kobe’s Amazing Hello Kitty & Bike Crystal Deco

I love unusual deco! That Michael Jackson photo is amazing! I’ve always wanted to do toy car deco. Check out that classic UK taxi and the cool British old phone booth. Everything is coming up UK for this Kobe deco shop called “Salon de Barbie”. Sadly I think the shop is now closed, but please enjoy their amazing work!

Billiken was created in America by an American (wiki) but is now a symbol of of Osaka and of good luck. Surely choosing gold to deco it out was a great idea.

I am still debating whether the Hanshin Tigers bike tops my own deco bike. But I’m impressed! I love unsual color deco.

It’s obvious my nail art set-up is not as fancy as this. They were using it to advertise at-home starter sets, but wow those UV lamps for nail gel curing are stunning!

Small deco shops in Japan look like this with small amounts of parts to buy and then in store windows the big flashy deco work.

I would’ve never thought that it would be a good idea to deco action figures. Check out the “Kamen Rider” deco along with giant wearable belt.

Most deco shops like this one in Kobe under the train tracks is more common of a deco shop with just phones to advertise and small goods.

Flip phones are dying out slower in Japan than in the states, but deco shops still display good work whether its on old tech or not.

Swarovski Deco in Osaka

But the extreme deco belongs to Car Customizer DaD and their full Swarovski covered Mercedes.

It’s on display alway at their Osaka location. Insane, right?

Last year I blogged about the Muchacha main store in Osaka with photos inside. I didn’t really talk about Muchacha (ムチャチャ) the brand.

Muchacha Room Room Shop Staff

First more shop staff, from their main store in Osaka taken last fall.

I like the fur shoe and stole combination fashion-wise. Although I think fur is becoming less popular in Japan, there’s not really an anti-fur campaign in Japan and animal rights are handled differently. The rabbit print dress is a theme style for the brand.

Muchacha Brand Introduction

Although the brand is not popular overseas and only has a niche following in Japan. Its cat bag was a huge hit and it was widely faked and popular overseas.

Brand breakdown:

katakana: ムチャチャ
website: http://www.ahcahcum-muchacha.com/
where to find: It has one store in Osaka and is selectively sold by group stores such as Zozotown (http://zozo.jp/shop/muchacha/) and M-hz.net (http://m-hz.net/).
Facebook: https://ja-jp.facebook.com/ahcahcum
History: Founded in 1994 by Shinya Masako (しんやまさこ personal twitter) right after they graduated college.

Left is Masako Shinya’s Twitter profile photo. Don’t they look a lot of fun?  :dotbow:

motto: “Happy Clothing with Heart”
what the brand is about: It’s really an avant garde brand that focuses on retro childhood items mixed with modern sentiments.
Repeating themes are cats, dolls, and rabbits.

Muchacha Mook: They have put out a popular “mook” (magazine/book) each season that contains a full-size tote bag that is very popular (http://ahcahcum-muchacha.jimdo.com/mook-book/). The Juria tote bag was actually from the 2012 ss mook. They’re order-able off of amazon.co.jp.

The left socks are the work of illustrator Tsuda Motoshi and right are by a designer called “Hat”

Being a small brand, they often collaborate with illustrators or lets designers like “Hat” showcase at the Muchacha store in Osaka.

Personal faves: I really want the wig socks, hair floral blouson, Alice in Wonderland shoes and the furry socks. I’ll have to check out the stock in April!

You can see their full collection on the Muchacha website here.

If you’re in Osaka I recommend checking out their Room Room store and large Monomania shop nearby. Both stores have that friendly Osaka hospitality and great items.

Muchacha / Achachum at Room Room in Osaka

Osaka is full of quirky shops and one of best is Room Room the main store of Muchacha / Ahcahcum (あちゃちゅむ←→ムチャチャ) site. They’re best known for their cat bags that have been faked everywhere, but the original ones are Muchacha. All their style is very advant garde focusing on animals, fairytales and dolls.

Their store is just as advertised as their items. Although they were mostly sold out of a lot of their clothing and popular items they had a lot of funky tchotchkes and leg wear to enjoy.

Above is the manager (right) and a customer (left) who gladly posed with him to show off her Muchacha top. He was beyond nice and I’d recommend visiting the store in Osaka just to have a chat with him. Tons and fun and I’m coveting his Jeremy Scott x Adidas Mickey Mouse shoes. He said he found them on sale for $100usd. I was so jealous.
